In collaboration with Emi Hoshi.
A woodblock painter born and raised in Tokyo, Ms. Hoshiemi currently lives in a mountain town in the north of Okayama prefecture, which is close to the border of Tottori prefecture.
For Hoshi, who realizes that he is not good at speaking, the small creatures that often appear in prints seem to be both her own understanding and spokesperson.
Animals that are indifferent to being swept away but never forget their strength. Small incidents that occur every day around us become the subject of prints one after another.
